Fighting Fatigue: Staying Focused on My Craft

The Mompreneur Balancing Act

Fighting fatigue while chasing a dream isn’t just hard — it’s a battle of willpower, hormones, and heart. Between being a single, stay-at-home mother of toddler twins and navigating the wild shifts of my mid-30s, it feels like I’m working two full-time jobs.

When Fatigue Hits Different

These last two weeks have been brutal. I thought I knew exhaustion before, but this new wave has hit differently. Getting out of bed feels heavier. I move slower. My appetite has been strange. And most days, all I want to do is sleep.

Even as I type this blog, I’m fighting off head bobs and face plants into my keyboard — glamorous, right?

Why I Keep Going

But here’s the truth: creating tea blends isn’t just a hobby for me. It’s a passion, a healing journey that has changed my life in ways I never imagined.

Through SpeakTEAzy, I want to build a system of generational wealth for my children. More importantly, I want to prove to myself that I am more than just a mother. I have dreams, ambitions, and wings that refuse to stay caged.

Small Steps, Big Impact

So, despite the fatigue, I still get up every day. I prep breakfast, care for my twins, and chip away at one task (or two) for the business. Some days it feels small, but every step counts. And for that little spark of energy, I manage to hold onto, I’m grateful.

The Takeaway

This season has reminded me that little steps still move us forward. And no matter how heavy the fatigue feels, I will keep fighting — until I see this dream take flight.

If you’re another tired dreamer, parent, or creator pushing through your own storms, know this: you’re not alone. One small action today is still a win.

🌿 Tea Ritual for Fighting Fatigue

When fatigue feels heavy, prepare a simple cup of tea with intention. Choose a soothing, caffeine-free blend — something with chamomile, spearmint, or rooibos to calm and restore (I suggest my MediZen Brew or Fog Lift Tea).

  1. As you boil the water, take three deep breaths and imagine fatigue leaving your body with each exhale.

  2. As the tea steeps, close your eyes and place one hand over your heart, the other over your belly. Feel the warmth of your own presence.

  3. When you take the first sip, whisper your affirmation aloud, letting the words settle into you as deeply as the tea itself.

✨ Affirmation

“Even in my tired moments, I am still moving forward. Small steps are still progress. My energy is enough, my dreams are valid, and I am becoming stronger with every sip, every breath, every day.”

Never forget, You are ALWAYS enough. Especially on your lowest feeling days.
