Reborn Within Myself

The Death of an Old Me
I killed myself today… again.
Obviously, I’m speaking figuratively.
As I moved through my day, I felt everything—numbness, Love, grief, disappointment, even anger. Within the final hour of the day, I let go of a version of myself I’ve been holding on to for far too long. A version that no longer serves me, that has been holding me back from my highest good.
For that level of self-betrayal, I had to cut her loose. It was a spiritual cord-cutting—an intentional release of an older me.
The Work Happens in the Dark
If there’s one thing this healing journey has taught me, it’s that it starts deep inside.
I’m talking about the cobwebbed corners of your soul—the places you’d rather avoid. Sometimes there’s no broom, no flashlight. You just have to get down on your hands and knees and do the work and most times alone.
But here’s the gift: the deeper you go, the more you find yourself. Those dark corners start to glow. The filth begins to feel cleaner. And when you emerge, you’re brand-new.
That inner work radiates outward—like a Phoenix setting itself ablaze just to be reborn from the ashes.
"I Am the 'U' Inverse"
Tonight I had a heart-healing conversation with my spiritual sister. She said something that stopped me in my tracks:
"I am the 'U' inverse."
If that went over your head, let me break it down.
The Universe (or God—whichever name feels true to you) sends us signs, whispers, and nudges to guide us. As spiritual women and men, we know that clarity comes when we do the shadow work—when we look inward so we can come outward more aligned.
When she said, “I am the ‘U’ inverse,” she was saying: I am the Universe, and the Universe is me. We are one. We move together.
That’s not always easy when “life be lifin’” and your mind is loud. But this is why we keep showing up for ourselves.
A Work in Progress
You are always a beautiful work in progress.
The you today is not you from yesterday, last week, last year. And tomorrow, you’ll be different again.
So keep doing the inner work. Keep choosing yourself. Keep radiating the version of you you’ve always longed to be.
Tea Ritual for Renewal
Sip Ritual: Brew yourself a cup of Diamond Dust from our Comfort Corner Collection — a delicate, shimmering blend of butterfly pea flower, lemon balm, spearmint, nettle, rose, lavender, and edible silver glitter. A representation of the clarity you gain after the chaos; A clean detachment.
✨ Before sipping, pause. Wrap your hands around the cup and take a slow breath, letting the blue hue and gentle steam calm you.
✨ Set your intention: “I release who I was, and I welcome who I am becoming.”
✨ Sip mindfully. Notice the way the color in your cup mirrors the shift happening within you — soft, clear, radiant.
We are all becoming greater versions of ourselves, but we have to remember that the parts of us that no longer serves our becoming needs to be burned. Needs to be cut and needs to be let go of. Kill him (or her) and be reborn into the you you've been manifesting!
As always, Through Leaves and Love,
